Changes to book purchases

In preparation for the launch of the new CSIRO Publishing books website (expected September 2026), we are introducing a temporary change to how customers purchase books. Instead of completing purchases directly on our website, you will be redirected to our distribution partner, NewSouth Books, where you can:

Browse our full catalogue
Select your preferred retailer (online or in-store)
Complete your purchase through that retailer

You can also support your favourite local bookshop by ordering our books through them.

Bulk orders

If you wish to purchase bulk quantities of a title (20+ copies), please contact our Customer Service team to place a bulk order.

Vouchers and gift cards

If you wish to purchase using a CSIRO Publishing voucher or gift card, please contact our Customer Service team to place your order.

Promo codes and discounts

If you are entitled to a discount or a special offer using a promo code, please contact our Customer Service team to place your order.

Returns

All returns queries for CSIRO Publishing books purchased from third-party retailers should be directed to the retailer you made your purchase from.

If you have received a faulty (e.g. misbound or misprinted) or damaged product that was ordered directly from CSIRO Publishing, please contact our Customer Service team with the name of the book, your invoice number and any other relevant details describing the defect.
